My Students
My students range from grades 3-6 and are wonderfully diverse students who come to school each day eager to learn. They are like beautiful sponges that just soak up the material being presented. They amaze me every day with their love of learning.

Many parents work more than one job and do not have the means, language knowledge, or the educational ability to support students' learning at home.
My Project
Imagine that you are a student and you are either confused about the material being presented or find it difficult to stay engaged because you already have mastered and are proficient in the material being presented. All of my students are capable of high levels of learning and have the ability to be academically successful, but they do not all learn in the same way, at the same time. In order to successfully maximize each child's learning potential in my classroom, it is important to introduce these students that do not fit in the "on grade level" group, collaborative and innovative ways to learn, in their own way, and at their own pace. The Kindle Fire will enable technology to take these children into a learning environment that caters to their individual needs. Technology is something special to my students as many do not have any technology available in their homes.
Many of my intervention students are ESL students and the Kindle Fire will extend beyond the language barrier to assist in their learning Kindle Fire would provide.
