Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My fantastic first graders live in an urban community where they receive free breakfast, as well as free lunches. Many of the students do not have electricity, air/heat in their homes, yet they still come to school daily with the biggest smiles on their faces

I try and make our classroom, cozy, comfortable, and a safe learning environment.

My first graders come in the classroom every morning with smiles on their faces, eager to give me a hug or high five as they walk in the classroom ready to learn.

My Project

The document camera will project onto the large screen in the classroom. I will be able to show students step by step math problems where they can see everything I am doing. Students will be able to come up and show us how they solved the math problem, or other lessons that are being taught. A

document camera will allow all students to see all lessons.

The camera does not have a glare when the sun comes into the windows, and the students can see the entire board. This will help students to gain a better understanding of what is being taught, and for students to get that chance to come up and share their problem solving skills to the class.
