These heroes are 1st and 2nd graders in a multi-age class. These excited, lovable children come from very diverse backgrounds and have a large variety of needs. But they all have one thing in common - a need to learn all they can in a child-centered classroom. The school is a Title I school with over 70% free or reduced-price lunch. About 50% of the students come from a military base and the others from the community.
Instilling a love for learning is the top priority in our class that includes students, teacher, parents, and our community.
Lessons are diversified to meet each unique learner, but this takes resources! PLEASE help instill a love for learning by donating to our future - our children! It is said that it takes a village to raise a child, and we invite you to invest in our learning community. Welcome to being a part of our village!
My students have a rigorous curriculum that requires a lot of focus and deep thinking. This is achievable, but 6-8-year-olds are still children who like to move. I bought three of these stools with my own funds two years ago and found they are durable, the choice chairs out of other alternative seating I have used and easy to clean.... but I only have three!
I would love to have more students be able to wobble while they learn to allow children to be children while remaining focused on their work; and, l am requesting six wobble chairs.
These chairs create an environment that allows movement appropriately while not distracting other students' learning. The chairs have value to be used year after year and will impact my classroom environment beyond just this year's students!
Please consider investing in these stools to allow more children the choice of flexible seating.
