The school that I work at is a public school with about 800 students enrolled. 0ver 50% of our students are English Language Learners. About 80% of the students are low income and about 10% are special education.
I teach a first grade classroom.
About 80% of the students are low income and 75% are English language learners. I also have a special education inclusion student. About 1/3 of the students are below grade level. Then, I have a couple of students that are very high and the rest are on level. Every morning, all of the students walk into my classroom eager and ready to learn.
My Project
My Project
My first grade students love learning about living things and different life cycles.
They love visual and hands on activities. This Incubator Kit and habitats will allow my students to have daily interactions with eggs, chickens, butterflies and tadpoles. With these materials from the kit, we will be able to become real scientists everyday; writing down what They see, remaking hypotheses, collecting daily data and recording observations.
These Kits will allow my students the opportunity to witness firsthand the life cycle of a chicken, butterfly, and frog.
My first grade scientists will learn so much through this activity. This will give them opportunities they may never experience. Please help make real experiences come to life in our classroom. It’s important that we receive these materials soon to make it happen.
