My Students

My third graders are fascinated, fun-filled, energized learners. Unfortunately, many of them are economically disadvantaged. These students live in an urban area and do not have access to the same resources as students from many surrounding districts.

Despite their circumstances, they come to school each day with a sincere attitude about their education.

Learning new things has become an important part of their daily routine. Please lend a hand in getting the things they need to help them achieve academic success and become lifelong learners.

My Project

The request for new classroom desks and chairs has become an infinite one. As teachers, we're told to create wishlists that never come true. The reality is that our district cannot support the needs of our students.

The legs of the desks and chairs are uneven causing students to rock back and forth.

This is not the best recipe for a supportive learning environment, but we try our best. It is a huge struggle and sometimes seems impossible to make this happen, but with your help our students can be provided with a new, exciting classroom where they will be safe, comfortable and motivated to learn.
