This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work as a special education teacher in a self-contained Autism unit, low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with numerous challenges both in and out of the classroom. The students I have the privilege teach range from grades kindergarten through fifth. I try to provide my students with all the necessities in the class. My students love to laugh and tell jokes to one another and start laughing before they even tell the punchline and then you can hear an echo of laughter ring throughout the classroom.
My Project
Our bearded dragon, Cosmo, is such a great influence on our children. He helps our children remain calm and assist in reading and math. Our students look forward to seeing him every day.

It will help us to get the necessary accessories to properly take care of him. We will use the hammock and vines to decorate his habitat and make him comfortable. We need the lights to provide the necessary lighting and heating in his enclosure. The water bowls are necessary to keep him hydrated whenever he needs a drink of water. Whatever you can donate to our friend Cosmo would be greatly appreciated.
