My Students

As a teacher in a low-income school, my students are faced with various challenges on a daily basis. Not only in the classroom but outside school as well. With some students being stressed by what happens away from school, I encourage an environment that makes learning fun.

Each child in my classroom enjoys learning and celebrating their accomplishments.

Even though they come from varied backgrounds they do support each other and learn from each other. They are provided with group work, individual work, partners in order to reach their needs. I so look forward to each year with new students ready to learn.

My Project

These headphones will allow students to work on individual lessons without disturbing their neighbors. Students are assigned lessons on the computer to meet their individual needs. Concentration would be better if students could hear the lessons and block out outside noises.

Headphones will allow for success.

Some students cannot read on grade level. Using headphones will allow these students to turn up the volume so they can hear the content of the assignment. Hearing the content will help them be able to complete the assignment. Therefore, allowing them to feel confident and more successful.
