My Students

Do you remember how difficult it was to stay seated all day in school? My students are extremely active and have a lot of difficulty staying still for any length of time.

I teach 22 very active first graders in a Title 1 School located in a high poverty and high crime area in Pennsylvania.

All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. At the present time only a small percentage of my students are at the proper reading and math level. Many of my students come from homes where English is not spoken.

My Project

I am requesting 2 Hokki stools in order to keep my students healthy and active while at the same time sitting. These chairs will allow my students to move in all directions which is critical to student development as physical movement. My students only have gym once a week. In addition, they do not have a playground in which to play.

Please continue to keep my students healthy and active and focused while they are sitting and learning.

I would love for my first grade students to be the best that they can be. Please help my little ones stay healthy and active.
