My students need 5 copies of the book Bullying in School, 11 different colors of construction paper, and 2 containers for the paper. Lastly, we need Time for Kids.
Have you ever been bullied or have you ever bullied anyone? My first graders are just learning how to treat one another with respect. I want them to learn how to be respectful and to be kind to each other.
I teach 24 first graders in an inner city, high crime area in Pennsylvania.
All of my students receive free breakfast and free lunch. Only a handful of my students currently read at grade level. Some of my students are still struggling to treat one another with kindness.
My Project
I want to get 5 copies of the book Bullying in School in order to teach my students how to learn how to be kind to one another. I also want my students to illustrate on our new construction paper how to be kind to one another. I never want to hear my students be hurtful to each other. I find bullying to be very disturbing. We need a place to store our new construction paper in a neat and orderly manner. Lastly, I am requesting Time for Kids for K-1 so my students can become better readers and therefore feel better about themselves.
Please help my students be the best they can be.
It is my dream that I have a bully free zone in my classroom and in my school. Please help to make my students more respectful and kind to one another. I never want to hear my students call each other hurtful words. The book Bullying in School will offer my students strategies on how to deal with bullying situations. The coloring paper will allow them to express their feelings.
