I work at a special education school, serving emotionally disturbed, learning disabled, and other special education classified students. Our students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Over 95% of the student body is eligible for free lunch, and more than 90% receive public assistance.
My students have exceptional abilities and with the proper accommodations and modifications, they truly thrive in our school setting.
These kids are afforded smaller classroom ratios, personalized attention, and a myriad of specially certified providers that assist in their overall development.
My Project
I am requesting food supplies to help one of my students during the global pandemic. This student has been attending our school for the past year, and has consistently received assistance from our community and staff members. We are currently separated from each other, which presents difficulties in securing needed donations.
I would love to send meals and snacks to my student's family to help them get through this difficult time.
This family qualifies for free breakfasts and lunches for their children, but they also need assistance at home.
