My Students

I teach energetic and imaginative kindergarten students in a high-poverty, Title I elementary school. These children come to school every day excited and eager to learn and explore. They are hard-working, kind, and respectful.

Nothing is better than seeing the look each student gets when he or she has an "ah-ha" moment while learning.

They start the year as a blank canvas and grow into readers, writers, and independent thinkers. These students show every day why teaching is the greatest job in the world.

My Project

My students are very creative five and six-year olds. Dramatic play is an essential part of the students development. Providing a puppet theater and puppets will give my students an opportunity to expand and explore their imagination and creativity.

Playing with puppets, stimulates the imagination and helps develop a child's emotional development.

A puppet theater and puppets improves motor skills and can boost a child's confidence in speaking aloud. Dramatic play, like playing with puppets will increase group participation and language development. Kindergarten is such an important stage in a child's life where developing social, emotional, and language skills helps set the child up for a successful future.
