My students need supplies like paper, markers, highlighters and pens to complete Math projects. We will be making Math tshirts and posters using math topics.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Help me allow my students to actually do hands on activities in math. They will finally be allowed to be creative and hands on instead of doing work from a book.
My students attend a magnet school and are very serious about their education.
They enjoy being challenged and learning in new ways. They enjoy turning vocabulary words into songs and posters. This way they own the information and are not just memorizing.
My Project
My students need supplies like paper, markers, highlighters and pens to complete Math projects. We will be making Math tshirts and posters using math topics.
We will do things like make our own math t-shirts using Math concepts. The students will then proudly wear them on Math days. We will also make bulletin boards and posters to display what we are learning in class. We wil also create our own math games.
This project is so important to me because I love to show my students that math can be fun.
Many students dislike math because they aren't allowed to be creative and learn hands on. In my classroom I work to always make it hands on.
