Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students face the challenges of poverty on a daily basis. We are located in the southernmost region of the United States and live in one of the poorest counties in the country. These students, who wake up every morning wanting to learn despite the difficulties that they face at home, are who inspired and motivated me post a project on DonorsChoose. I am honored and blessed to serve them and to be part of their lives. This is why reaching out to you is the least I can do to help them improve and be able to reach and experience the same opportunities that others have in our country.
My students manage to always have a smile and care for each other as much as possible every single day.

My Project
As a first year Prek 4 teacher I was given a classroom in need of many supplies. A dollhouse center is an excellent way to promote dramatic play between students.
This very complete set of house and furniture will provide them with multiple and many opportunities to develop these essential dramatic play skills.
I will ensure that all students who are currently attending school will benefit from the experience of playing with this resource. Students will take turns and learn about sharing and socializing in a proper manner. Thank you in advance for your support!
