This year, I am new to kindergarten. My students are also new to the school. They are excited to come in every day and look forward to learning. Being from a Title l school, the students are limited in the resources we have available for them. We are spending a lot of time learning and playing by getting back to the basics.
My students are kind, caring individuals who love to learn.
This project will help them learn and grow as they learn the ropes of kindergarten. They can use the items in the project for discovery learning and exploration.
My Project
Help give my students these pretend play items that will make a huge impact in my classroom. Young children need the chance to use pretend to play in everyday life. Bringing this pretend play into the classroom will be a great learning experience for my students allowing them to use their imagination and creativity.
These pretend play items will allow my students to use discovery learning to grow and learn.
My students can benefit from the kitchen store items as well as the kitchen play food items. The kitchen center and kitchen food and cooking items will be used for learning and for fun. Students can practice math skills as well as writing skills creating lists of shopping and food items. Students can also play at the kitchen center by creating recipes and a list of ingredients to use when building food items.
