I work in a charter school of choice where students of all levels and abilities choose to attend. The students in my classroom are creative, caring leaders and world-changers. In my classroom, we build a community where everyone is accepted no matter their differences.
My Project
The materials in this project will be used to help keep the students active while at recess. Many days students are playing in dirt or playing tag, those activities are great but the students are becoming bored of the same options. New playground materials will allow them to be more active. Being active during the day helps students be still and engaged in order to learn. Gross motor movement is a much needed outlet for students in order to keep them going throughout the day. These materials will help students get over the lunch slump.
