Dear Donors, I am partnered with The Theatre Development Fund and had an extraordinary year with them and the playwrights in my charge. I was granted the program again and will be instructing play writing in three of my five classes this coming academic year. At the TDF graduation ceremony three of my students who had accomplished all their assignments, but whose plays were not performed professionally, were given a wonderful present: a compilation text called Take Ten: New 10 Minute plays. I would like to order two class sets of this remarkable literary gem. For instructional purposes, it defines by example the use of economic writing, which is so very difficult to teach without solid support material. This text is so good for teaching the highly sophisticated craft of play writing that one student used a play from this anthology on the English Language Arts Regent's critical analysis task. He wrote a brilliant academic essay; and passed.
