Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am co-leading a pilot program for eighteen 3-5 year-old students from Southern California diagnosed with language disorders. The program is designed to provide an intensive language-based approach to at-risk children focusing on both parent education and building foundational skills for children's success.
We want to ensure that these children have access to materials that will broaden their vocabulary and spark their imaginations.
Our program is thematically based, so the children and their parents have multiple opportunities to gain exposure to concepts and vocabulary across activities. Let's make their first school experience a wonderful one!
My Project
The materials you help purchase today will be used in a variety of different pretend play themes. We will be creating a bakery, an ice cream shop, and so much more!

By funding my project, low-income, preschool students will receive materials to help create a cool-down corner as well as pretend play basics that we will use week after week. The felt-board allows for our stories to come alive during circle time. Your support will make a world of difference.
