Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Teaching children to interact and share is fundamental to 3-5 years olds. One of the characteristics of children with autism is their inability to socialize or play with toys or other children.
We are seeking toys that require interaction with others to help them develop their skills of sharing, playing and socializing. I work in a autism self-contained classroom of 3-5 years old. Three of my children go into main stream rooms to interact with children their age. Having age appropriate interactive toys would allow for my children to interact with each other as well as children from the pre-school or kindergarten classrooms to come into my room to interact.
Play and socialization is important at any age. Teaching them when they are young is a skill they will have throughout their life. Please help my children!
