Every child learns in a different way and at his or her own pace. Our 100 TK/Kindergarten students are developing and learning by exploring the world around them. They are enthusiastic learners that have a love of learning that is infectious and positive.
Our kindergartners are exploring their own ideas and stretching their imaginations.
We are a Title I school with a population that is culturally, ethnically, and socioeconomically very diverse. Our students come from a wide variety of backgrounds with different needs. In addition to native English speakers, we also have students who speak limited English. When students work together and talk about their ideas, they are developing strong language skills.
My Project
Outdoor time is a favorite time of day for our kindergarten students. This is a time when students get to jump, run, use their imagination, and cooperate with one another while playing.
An Outdoor Magnetic Wall will promote peer interactions and enhance our social emotional learning while outside.
It is empowering for young children to have ample opportunities to play cooperatively and practice everyday living skills such as taking turns, sharing and negotiating.
TK and Kindergarten students have a lot of energy. An outside magnetic wall will give our students a way to explore science and engineering outside while having fun and learning to play with one another.
The outdoor magnetic wall will help all our kindergarten students to experiment, learn, practice and remember what they have discovered in the areas science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).
The Outdoor Magnetic Wall will provide many opportunities open-ended and hands-on opportunity to think critically, problem solve, and be creative.
