My Students

The 208 students at Mokulele Elementary are resilient! They love coming to school regardless of the pandemic we are all facing in this challenging time. Recess is a great time to get out, get some fresh air, exercise, and socialize. To keep everyone safe, we have created “Ohana” bubbles for each classroom and 5 activity stations. We are in need of recess equipment and games that students can safely and actively participate in.

My Project

Playground equipment for recess will provide our students with a safe way to exercise and engage in socialization skills. Time outdoors is a great must for growing minds and bodies. The rocket launchers and balancing stones will provide students with opportunities to use and strengthen their gross motor skills while keeping a safe distance from their peers.

Outdoor play helps students to learn to seek out out exercise, fresh air, and activity.

Nowadays, children experience fewer and fewer opportunities to run, jump, hop, and roll; and because

outdoor play is part of being a child, we must find a variety of ways to provide quality outdoor play experiences for our students.
