Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are special because they all have something that is unique about them. Most of my kids are from military family and they move from place to place every now and again. My kids have to live without a mom or a dad for a while and it hurts them really bad. For them to face this reality at their age and have to cope through this and are enthused to learn is unspeakable for me as their teacher.

My Project

My students need 6 comfy floor seat, 2 complete math folder game sets and 6 allowance game to help them practice various mathematical skills while having fun at the same time. Having a comfortable seat while playing games is key.

Breaking the fear of math through mathematics game is my aim because some students are afraid of doing math, and to see them having fun through games, while learning mathematical skills indirectly, is rewarding to see and hear as they discuss their views.

When students are learning through play it is most meaningful to them because they feel accomplished and as though they achieved something on their own with little or no help from me.
