My Project

This year New York City 3K and Pre-K public school students are using a new curriculum called Creative Curriculum- all new units- which require all new materials. Some of the units include balls, trees, clothes, buildings, recycling, exercise, and wheels.

Toddlers, especially three- and four-year-olds, learn through play.

To help keep them engaged, we use toys and other materials throughout the many centers in our classroom. This helps facilitate their play.

Materials such as the "Apple Picking Magnetic Fruit Tree Toy | Montessori Wooden Color & Shape Sorting Puzzle" will enable my students to use their fine motor skills, sort by color, and practice counting. The Melissa & Doug Smoothie Maker will be used during our "exercise" unit in the dramatic play center- where students will pretend to be at a gym!
