Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is full of creative little minds. We are learning what it means to be in school and these kiddos are eager to learn, but at the same time there is nothing like learning through play. "Play is the highest form of research". ~ Albert Einstein (scientist)
We are a bunch of bilingual and gen ed students who are boisterous, eager, and ready to learn.
We just happen to be in a high poverty, low income area in one of the largest urban districts in the US. However, this does not get us down nor does it hinder our learning. We are creative, but we can always use some help!
My Project
With these amazing materials from the popular PLAY-DOH brand, my students will be able to use their creative minds on a daily basis. They will manipulate, create, experiment, and learn all while using their tiny hands and creative minds to bring to life their thoughts and put them into a 3D object. Not only will they be able to create different things, but they will also be reviewing the letters, shapes, and numbers while strengthening their fine motor skills on a daily basis.
By receiving these awesome donations that will allow us to have these wonderful PLAY-DOH materials, my students will benefit tremendously this year and even for more years to come.
Aside from allowing their creativity to flow naturally, by using the PLAY-DOH products my students will strengthen their tiny hands enough to hold the pencil so they can begin the writing process of their academic career.
