Help me give my students everyday classroom materials they need to work independently while being surrounded by exciting decorations that they love such as ten frames, reusable write pockets, Play-Doh, Wikki-Stix and more.
My students bring something fun and exciting to school with them each and every day. Even though each of their needs are very different, all of my students have a love for learning.
My students are exceptional and unique.
They are great kids who deserve to have these learning experiences. They are interested in so many opportunities to learn in many different ways and best of all they are excited about it! My students take great interest when the environment around them is engaging and exciting. This is the environment I am trying to build in my classroom to promote learning and positive behavior.
My Project
The materials I have requested will continue to enhance students math and literacy learning in my classroom. Due to the changes in school procedures every student is now required to have their own individual materials.
Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.
So while students believe they are playing and having fun, skills are being taught. The markers, play-doh, and pocket sleeves will allow students to practice math and literacy skills daily. Using the pocket sleeves as an easy way to learn new concepts while meeting students different needs. The sleeves will allow for different type of math and learning to be practiced such as writing numbers and letters. Play dog can be used to learn to identify letters, numbers, and words.
Students will also benefit from these materials by receiving their own individual materials. This will allow them to work safely in our classroom. This will teach students responsibility by caring for their materials.
We use manipulatives daily to enhance our creativity and learning. All items have been chosen with my students in mind, knowing the things they enjoy using in my classroom that we do not have enough of at this time. The best way to engage learning in Kindergarten is to provide students with materials they enjoy and are excited to work with daily.
The dog-themed decoration materials is a theme chosen by my students. My students will use these materials to help decorate our classroom. These materials will provide students with a sense of ownership because they were chosen based on their interests. My goal is to make our classroom an exciting space that all students enjoy coming to and feel comfortable in every day.
