This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My Kinders are excited and eager to begin school as this is most of their first time in a classroom setting. Many of my students come from low-income households and the majority of my students do not speak English, however, they are determined to do well!

In our classroom, we love hands on activities such as roll the dice games, I have, who has, and write the room searches.

My Project

In our classroom, I am always encouraging my students to express themselves through whatever outlet works for them. These include playing games, enhancing communication and critical thinking, creating artwork for them to be proud of, and working with their fellow classmates to support a welcoming, conducive classroom environment.

The majority of my students do not speak English as a first language, so these board games will help them to build confidence and strengthen their communication skills all while having fun with their peers!

The power strips are essential for us to make sure our classroom iPads are charged and ready to go when our students begin iReady lessons.
