Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are 4th graders in East San Jose California. My students are excited to come to school. They love trying new things and take pride in creating their own projects and work. Being a Title 1 school, many students in my class come from homes where finances can limit resources and opportunities. Nevertheless, I strive to provide the best education possible for them.
My students come to school each day with a desire to learn, explore, and challenge themselves.
With a little support from generous and compassionate donors, students in my class will be able to have an ever better and memorable school year.
My Project
As a general education elementary school teacher I am in charge of teaching my students all academic subjects. In addition to this I am also the PE teacher of my students. Unfortunately, quality PE equipment is few and far between at my school, thus greatly limiting what games or sports my students can play during PE time.
Quality sports equipment will allow my students to have an awesome time during PE.
I would love to be able to have my students play a variety of team games and sports in order to teach sportsmanship, resiliency, and a desire to be physically active.
