My Students

The Coronavirus pandemic has shut my school down, leaving teachers and students to figure out remote learning. My school is part of a very large district that has limited resources. My students need hands-on experiences that all levels of learners can access.

My Project

My students are hands-on learners who are used to having materials they can touch and see. Online technology is difficult for them.

The planting kits are a way for each student to grow their own plants and document growth in their journals to share during our Zoom meetings.

The magnifying glasses will help with observations. Two different book levels will support learners in reading about plants growing. What child doesn’t love stickers to reward their hard work? These materials will support remote learning in fun and engaging ways for students who need real life experiences.
