My Students

My sweet second graders are hard working kids who deserve the best! Our building is made up of PreK through 5th graders in a low income setting. Our kiddos arrive almost exclusively by bus and everyone gets free breakfast and lunch.

My Project

Our students are still learning at home. Even if we switch to learning in person, these planters and books will be put to good use.

Every spring, we work on lots of hands-on learning such as planting and growing plants that students can take home.

Most of my students have never had the chance to get their hands into soil and experience the excitement of watching their very own plants grow and develop. By giving my students these planters and seeds, plus great nonfiction books, they will learn about how plants grow and develop.
