Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are young, energetic, and enthusiastic learners. They are are the voices of our next generation. They attend school in district 7 located in the South Bronx of New York City. We are a predominantly black and brown community of tight-knit families. My students persevere through many adverse conditions to achieve social and academic success over the course of 7 years as they move through our school from grade 6 through grade 12.
My Project
My students will be seniors this coming school year. These planners will help them organize their class assignments as well as keep track of important college application and scholarship application due dates and deadlines. They can also use the planners to track earnings and expenditures as they continue to develop vital financial literacy skills.
Financial literacy is an important life skill that will help my students manage their budgets throughout their adult lives.
Good organizational skills are key to academic success. These planners and folders will contribute to a successful school year by helping my students stay organized.
