My Students
"I love 4K," said several students said last year. The students in my class are encouraged to love school and to love learning. Hopefully, they will carry the love of learning on for the rest of their lives. This is their first school experience, and it is critical that they are successful, have a wide variety of experiences and feel safe.
This school district is in a high poverty and very rural area.
The school works very hard to make sure each student succeeds and will have the opportunity to attend college. Students build relationships with teachers, the community and other agencies as well as collaborate with other grades to build a sense of community.
My Project
These new pieces of furniture come with a lifetime warranty which will stand up to the rigors of a preschool classroom. The shelving units are smaller and designed to fit into our classroom space. These will provide an age and size appropriate place for our learning materials. One of the shelves will be designated for the students' writing journals, Ready, Set, Go! letter books and other assessment materials.
Displaying learning materials is important to developing autonomy in children!
The other shelf will house learning games, puzzles, learning toys such as lacing beads, counting bugs and similar items. We will be excited to have nice sturdy furniture.
