This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have been an educator for 16 years and I don't think I've worked with a more wonderful group of fifth-grade students in all my years. While my students come from critical home environments, they report to school daily with smiles on their faces; ready to learn.
My students are full of life and yearn to be their best selves!
The fact that my students attend a Title I school and live in one of Atlanta's poorest and most violent neighborhoods; doesn't diminish their outlook on education! Their thirst for learning is evident and I look forward to watching them grow emotionally and academically this school year!
My Project
This school year is ending without all of the wonderful end of the year activities and without official goodbyes. The idea that this school year will not be properly end for students, makes me want to make sure that their return is extra special.
My goal is to ensure that students enter school next year with a room that personalized, so they feel like it is truly their space.
I want to use the cardstock and sticker maker to create labels, name tags, center signs, and posters to provide a personalized and welcoming environment for my new students.
