This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This will be an amazing experience in sewing. My students don't get very many real-life skill lessons, and I feel this will be a perfect opportunity! They will make pizza pillows with these tools and learn about Pop Art! My students are very creative and have been asking over and over about if we will be able to sew in class! They are so excited to learn a new skill. I plan to teach hand sewing, hot glue gun use and safety, and how to stuff and decorate their sewing project.
