Ping-Pong Your Way to Coordination During the School Day!

Help me give my students an opportunity to play ping-pong since it can help stimulate parts of the brain, improve balance and coordination, as well as give them a "social" outlet.

My Project

Our school is an out of district placement for at-risk students. Our students are in a self-contained class and are in their classroom for most of the day. They leave only for health, physical education, speech, OT, PT, art and lunch. Many of our students have been traumatized at some point in their lives and need a way to release their stress and/or anger.

Our students have many responsibilities at home, and do not get adequate exercise/socialization they need like general education students do.

Our students enjoy many of the popular sports such as basketball, football, soccer and more. However, I believe opening their eyes to the game of ping-pong can help facilitate the benefits of exercise, as well as personal and mental health! Here at our school, we strive to facilitate positive experiences in Physical Education to help support the mental well-being of our students.
