My Project

My students are enthusiastic about finding multiple ways to solve math problems. My young scholars love Math. Some of these students have appointed themselves to be my future accountants and doctors.

Using manipulatives gives my students the confidence to connect strategies learned in class to abstract algorithms.

It is awesome to see students have Eureka moments when they grasp concepts in math class. They are grasping the language of partitioning fractions into more or fewer parts and referring money, cents, and decimals to fractions.

To seek perfection with fractions, my students will use the manipulatives (giant magnetic fraction circles and decimal operation grids) to be perfect partitioners. They will use wipes to keep the materials clean.
