My Students

Lake Hood Elementary School is special because of its diverse population, a Title I designation as well as a self-contained behavior support program. Collaboration with our families has also been an integral part of our school's social and emotional learning success.

My Project

A video camera will make it possible to produce "fun and friendly" videos that show students and their families how to implement new CoVID safety protocols.

We expect these cheerful and clearly explained videos to reduce anxiety for students, families and staff.

Thereby, increasing emotional and physical safety that leads toward increased academic achievement.

One example of a video will show how to exit and enter the building while wearing a mask, washing hands and keeping 6-feet of social distance. The videos will also demonstrate how to safely interact and greet each other in a friendly way.
