I work with third grade students in a Title One School. They each come from different backgrounds, but come together to make our superhero classroom superb! I couldn't ask for a better bunch of students to work with.
My students have a passion for learning, a drive to learn more, and love for one another.
Third graders are a great group of students to work with. They can have lots of energy that can be fostered to have them do some brilliant things.
My Project
These picture books will allow my students to be exposed to different cultures as well as great messages. Each day we will read a different picture book as a class. Through these picture books we will discuss and explore so many concepts, content related as well as world related. The students will be able to make connections to these picture books, which will allow them to learn the content easier. These connections will also be due to the different main characters that are presented in the different books. These books will be used as read alouds as well as become a part of our classroom library. They will be able to be loved by so many students for many, many years. The joy that the picture books bring to our class is beautiful and truly magical.
