Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have taught first grade for 9 years. I love teaching because I enjoy building a rapport with my students and helping them develop a love for learning. All students at my school receive free breakfast and lunch because so many of our students come from a lower economic background.

My students work hard in the classroom every day and I want to provide them with the best educational experience and assist them in being successful.

They are an energetic and inquisitive group of kids with an eagerness to learn. Please consider making a donation and helping my students. Thanks for taking the time to visit my page!

My Project

My students absolutely love art time. It's their chance to use their creativity and imagination. They enjoy talking to their friends about the masterpieces they are making and love giving each other ideas. I personally love it because I am able to see them express themselves through paintings and drawings.

My students need dot markers and tempera painters because the art supplies in our classroom are limited.

Although my students enjoy art, I know they are tired of using the same materials such as crayons and markers each week. They are good sports about it and never complain so this would be a nice surprise. They are such a great group of students and deserve to have new art materials to create their works of art. I just know these material will really excite my students and get their creativity flowing even more.
