My students are happy, cheerful, sunny, jubilant, upbeat, chipper, sad, heartbroken, somber, melancholy, but yet they are a bundle of joy to work with and for.
I often remind my scholars of their abilities to be doctors, lawyers, musicians, educators.
They are doctors, musicians, lawyers, entrepreneurs, administrators, educators, basketball and football players... and the list continues. The experience beyond the walls of their Title I school is challenging. From ages 3 to 12 many students carry unprecedented weight on their shoulders. For most of our students, a dream is all they have. A dream keeps them moving forward. A dream keeps them sharing smiles. When students enter the doors of this Title I school, they are greeted with hugs, positive conversations, and an atmosphere unlike their norm. When they enter the music room, they are introduced to music that is typically unfamiliar to their ears.
In today's world of technology, cell phone cameras as pretty cool. However, they fall short in capturing many candid moments. We hope to give our students a more professional view of the world of photographing. The generosity of donors around the world have supported our musical theater projects. It is our goal to offer and build a musical theater program that will support our scholars mentally, physical, and academic skills. This project will provide our scholars hand-on opportunities to understand the importance of every entity of backstage drama. This project will very well serve as a career builder. It is possible for our students to be placed among the greatest photographers.
