My Students

What if you could feel supported every time you took on a new challenge? You would more than likely work even harder right? Our AVID students work hard every day to prepare for college. Which for 97% of them will be a new experience since they will be the first in their families to take on this chapter of their life.

These individuals are determined to change the narrative of their life for the better.

These students beg to learn from others who have faced obstacles and not only have overcome them but have succeeded in not giving up.

My Project

The students in the AVID elective program are committed to changing their narrative. We want to help them see what that narrative can look like. Having this speaker, who will bring a dynamic and story of his own, will lead them through several experiences. These will be both self-reflective and goal-oriented.

Through our AVID team and having this conference speaker, we want to inspire, generate excitement, and help motivate kids to achieve their fullest potential, to achieve the goals they never believed were possible and to show them that they can write their own story.

They are not a character in someone else's script.

The more experience our students have with others that overcame, the more confident they will be in taking on their own challenges while cutting their own path through life.
