My Students
My students are fun, loving, and very creative! I have a diverse group of learners that come from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. We are a Title I school where all students have access to free breakfast and lunch, as our school is part of the Community Eligibility Provision in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program.
My students inspire me every single day. They often face challenges in their lives that do not deter them from their love of learning. Teaching kindergarten is a challenging but very rewarding job. I appreciate any support to help meet the needs of my wonderful students.
My Project
The resources I'm requesting are books designed to promote positive social and emotional skills for children in kindergarten.
I care about helping my students become caring, considerate, confident citizens of the world. The books on my wishlist will encourage empathy, kindness, and help kids think about grief, shame, and anger.
As teachers and parents, it is our job to help young children understand and identify their feelings, as well as communicate those feelings to others. I am determined to help my students learn how to communicate effectively, make good choices, and practice appropriate behavior at school, home, and within their community.
