I teach Library Media to all our classes! Every kindergartener through 5th grader gets to spend time in our library and I am so excited to have them. We have students who thrive in a variety of settings. We have musical students, athletic students, scientific students, artistic students, and everything in between. One thing they want is books that interest them.
They are enthusiastic learners and growing into avid readers!
My Project
Kids love reading about the same characters in different situations. They also read new stories from authors they already love. These books with help do both. They will add books by already loved authors. It will also introduce some new characters they can enjoy reading about. The new characters will also provide some more variety in our library. Some fresh new characters to meet. Excitement for books and reading is a great thing to foster.
Predictability in books and characters can help those blossoming readers gain confidence in reading a book independently.
