My Students

Our students at Eastwood Middle School come from a variety of backgrounds, races and socio-economic levels. One thing they all have in common is their enjoyment of movement and it's our goal as their PE/Health teachers to give them the tools they need to lead active and productive lifestyles.

Cardio activities are vital for all ages and our students are learning why it is important to engage in vigorous to moderate cardio activities for the rest of their lives.

We are trying to move Indiana out of the top 15 most obese states by having our students engage in daily cardio activities.

My Project

All of the resources we are asking for will help our students be able to engage in vital daily cardio activities. Our students are learning how to become lifelong fitness learners and the recumbent bikes and elliptical machines (which they love) will help them be able to engage in cardio activities, especially in the winter months.

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in America.

Our students have been engaging in this cardio activity for many years and they need new paddles to enjoy this fast growing sport.

The projectors are desperately needed to help show our students visual presentations of activities or background material they will be learning.
