Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each morning, my students gather in the music classroom and go to their assigned seats. They usually go through the roll call and each student says their names one after another.

Aside from the obvious signs of the class not having the traditional chair-and-desk look, the students in my class are unlike any other.

They are enthusiastic, even on the gloomiest days, and are always filled with positive energy. They come from a low-income community with a school district that does little to financially support extra-curricular activities.

My Project

Every day in the morning, my students and I enter the band room to get ready for jazz band. As we are setting up, we realize that the guitar players do not have the right pieces for this type of ensemble. The product that I have selected will help all of the students in the ensemble. These pickups will benefit the whole band because we will finally be able to play the correct music now that we have the pickups. Thank you for your time and consideration to donate to this project. It will definitely benefit the our instrumental program.
