My students need a versatile work surface for writing or using laptops on the floor or even outdoors.
These lapdesks are a flexible solution for students as they can take notes and work sitting anywhere!
I teach third graders from a low-income/high poverty Title l school district. Many of my students come from single-parent households and receive a free or reduced-price lunch based on their socioeconomic status.
My third graders are awesome motivated individuals who love to learn.
Even though my students are often deprived of many things I took for granted growing up, they come with smiles on their faces ready to start the day. I may not be able to change their home lives, but I can improve their experience during the school day. I want to provide my students with every opportunity for success. I want to teach them that they are worthy and capable of success and with hard work they can achieve it!
Students in my class have flexible seating options. They may choose to sit anywhere in the room as long as they continue learning and participating. This new option of lapdesk will be perfect.
Many students love to sit on the carpet, but end up using bad posture to write or type as they have to bend over to reach their work on the floor.
Often they will lay down to work closer to their chromebooks or papers, but this tends to make them sleepy! These seats would provide the perfect amount of support and comfort as they complete their work!
