My students need a paint easel in order to explore their creativity and build fine motor skills.

Currently my paint center consists of two magnets to hold a piece of paper up to the bathroom door. I would love for my students to have the opportunity to paint on a daily basis, but when only one student can paint at a time it is quite difficult!
I have 22 energetic kindergarteners who greet me every morning with a great big smile and an even bigger hug.
They are an incredibly sweet group of children who are always helping each other out when needed and who celebrate each others accomplishments. They are hard working, and even though the majority of them came in low academically, they have been like sponges the first few weeks of school! I work in a school where the majority of the students have very rough home lives. We have a high number of students who receive free or reduced lunch services. We are fortunate to live in a community that is willing to donate clothes and school supplies to these students in order for them to have a successful year.
My students ask me on a daily basis when it will be their turn to go to paint. I continue to tell them that only one student can go at a time. I am hoping to get a paint easel so that these students will have a better chance of exploring their creativity and imaginations. I also have students who never had the opportunity to hold a pencil, marker, crayon, paintbrush, or scissors. I have been teaching my students how to use these basic utensils for the last few weeks, but I would love for them to be able to have even more practice with them.
Students who are able to paint with their fingers or paintbrushes will be able to develop stronger fine motor skills which will help with their handwriting.
Simply giving my students the opportunity to paint will help them grow in so many ways. Please consider supporting my class in their development.
