Musical, creative, inquisitive, energetic...these are all words that describe my students. They love to sing, move, play instruments, and learn in hands-on ways. They love to use drums, Orff instruments, and ukuleles in our music room, and they love to perform.
Around 25% of our students come from military families, and this brings them their own unique set of challenges.
We have also received new students from Puerto Rico due to hurricane Maria. I want to teach them a love for music that will last them their whole lives, wherever they may find themselves.
My Project
The big day is nearly here, and we are ready to open our piano lab in style! This room is a dream for our school and has been made possible through DonorsChoose and generous donors.
We need ribbon and large scissors for our ribbon cutting ceremony and storage containers for games and manipulatives in the lab.
I believe it is important to celebrate important milestones as a school community, and I also want students and parents to recognize the wonderful gift we have been given in this lab. The large scissors and ribbon will help make this event memorable for all involved. The egg shaped containers and fabric cube storage will help us store some of the new games and manipulatives we will use in the room.
