Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

These diverse students attend a small school by design. It's where everybody feels they are a significant part of the community. Social justice and diversity are prioritized through authentic and relevant learning as well.

Students strive to possess a growth mindset; by taking risks, making mistakes, and realizing that learning new skills can be tough, but they can do it.

My students will be ready to take on new challenges while building the skills they will need in high school and beyond!

My Project

Even though our Anatomy and Physiology classes teach and learn about the human body, experiencing hands-on labs opens students' minds about what is possible for them. Learning about how our bodies function, get students excited about a wide variety of possible career opportunities, from medicine, physical therapy, fitness, health, wellness, and beauty.

These engaging kits will enhance our knowledge about the nervous system, our senses, by incorporating the physics of light and sound.

When students learn about themselves, this shifts learning from the short-term memory and embeds it into long-term memory.
