My students need a ball cage to safely lock up equipment. My students need a laser printer to be able to create individualized workout plans and set and print out goals.
We are a K-5 elementary school in an urban setting. There are about 300 students who come from a variety of diverse backgrounds and from neighborhoods all over the city. 100% of the students receive free lunch and breakfast.
My students LOVE TO LEARN and MOVE and are always so full of energy and cannot wait to come to health and physical education class.

My Project
These materials will be great enhancements for our classroom. We are going to begin focusing on fitness and making lifelong healthy choices.
It's time to get away from traditional sports and focus on the importance of lifetime fitness.
Learning how to take care of our minds and bodies is a critical skill for students to learn.
The addition of new equipment will ensure all students have access to their own piece during class time. I will be focusing on improving fitness testing skills while still learning basic manipulative skills with more traditional equipment. The ball cage will help keep equipment safe and organized. The addition of a laser printer will allow students to receive immediate feedback and/or results of their hard work and effort.
