This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are active 100% of the time when in physical education. They learn important concepts and tools regarding health, nutrition and physical activity.

My students are extremely active.

They thrive on physical activities and love to participate in games and sports. We have basic gym equipment, but with your help, students can experience physical education in a new way. My students are great kids who deserve more.

My Project

Juggling scarves, bean bags, lollipop paddles and fleece balls will aid students in developing their hand-eye coordination. Hand-eye coordination is the ability to track the movements of the hands with the eyes, enabling the eyes to send important signals to the brain about hand movement. Poor hand-eye coordination can greatly compromise your ability to exercise and can also affect everyday tasks such as writing.

Students do not currently have the equipment needed to strengthen their hand eye coordination.

Having these supplies will allow me as their physical education teacher to help students who may be struggling while they participate with the whole class.
