I am requesting recess and physical education equipment because I believe these resources will help motivate my Kindergarteners and promote a healthy, active lifestyle. I want to ensure that my students not only have fun in the classroom but outside as well.
Providing different types of outdoor equipment will help develop essential motor skills and give students the opportunity to explore the natural environment and freely express themselves.
Unfortunately, Physical Education is not offered at our school, so I want to be able to provide my Kindergarteners the opportunity to experience outdoor education. Physical education is not just about being active, it develops fine motor abilities. Since the school year started, my Kinders have not done any type of physical education other than recess time. Our class currently only has three bouncy balls. The various physical education equipment will be used as an extension to academic learning that will improve each student’s fine motor and gross skills. I hope to be able to provide my students with the education they deserve.
